The "Archicad" 3d Model is drawn by using 3d elements such as, walls, slabs, roofs, beams, doors, & windows. These elements can posses an unlimited list of attributes. Of the most important are the element's location, size, & material. When the elements are placed in the site survey, elevation is directly obtained from the model. The two larger images to the left are sections directly from the model. The smaller image to the immediate left is a detail taken from a section that is taken form the model. Among the information available from the detail is elevation data. The elevation 110'-2" is obtained by picking a point, in this case, the bottom of the mudsill. From the picked point, Archicad, produces the correct elevation. No measuring, no interpretation, no typing, ---- therefore ---- No Errors.
