I was born on a ranch North of Amarillo to a mother who was an artist from Chicago. Just to make her parents mad, my mother married an incredibly creative entrepreneur cowboy. From birth I was surrounded by eccentric, positive, psychic energy that always questioned, “Is there a better, more inspired way?” In 1972 I graduated from Trinity University with a BA in Psychology and Economics. I have designed and built for inspired clients that sought honest personal comfort, not for the observer, but for themselves. Ayn Rand who said, "A building has integrity just like a man. And just as seldom." would have admired my client's style. In 1979 I found my real inspiration and direction in the book, “The Timeless Way of Building”. This book has continuously been my beacon to seek and create works of human scale and delight.
In 2005 I taught Architecture for Graphisoft (located in Budapest) and I found the truly Timeless Way of Building in Europe. Deep in my soul I knew that these wonderfully human places existed. I was so blessed to experience Timeless places first hand. Around every corner I found places of serendipity with sincere architecture and landscaping. These Timeless places were created to fill and rejuvenate the spirit, and not merely to impress. I hope that you will experience these feelings of comfort that I have captured, in the works offered Of a Timeless Nature.
Of my many joys, sending my friends a hand written note is about the ultimate. I have few handwritten notes but I vividly remember each one and have kept them all. A hand written note freezes time for you and your heirs far more powerfully than anything else.
WARNING: When you buy one of these treasures to send to family, a cherished friend or a valuable business associate you will want to keep it for yourself. Many, who have received these cards, don’t even want to open the package. This isn’t the point. Write and send the note. Your note will create a mutual warm fuzzy that will endure in the most meaningful ways. PS.... In June, I was able to close a 39 year old loop by sending Gene Edwards a card. Gene was totally shocked that I remembered. Shoot, remember it? I cherished it! I feel that sending a card is just doing the right thing. Hand written cards and being thoughtful are similar to psychic life changing power as portrayed in "the five people you meet in heaven" by Mitch Albom. You really never fully know the joy your thoughtfulness creates. I know that this is a bit out of the ordinary for a web site in today's times, but you can actually contact ME. My personal email is frf@arn.net , my personal cell number is 214-802-0058 and I live in Dallas, TX. I want you to love these cards and I want you to love this experience on a very personal level. Best regards, Rusty Fuqua |
